Find some major free & non-profit food resources in the Bronx here, as well as other websites that introduce places offering free food such as food pantries, Food banks, Community Gardens, free meal sites, non-profit organizations, and religious sites.

I also briefly review these sites and encourage reviews from anyone who has accessed these resources to input reviews as well. This will bring awareness to issues that may block accessibility to these resources.

How food-abundant is the Bronx?

My goal is to debunk the stigma that the Bronx is food-scarce. The Bronx has over 100 food pantries/banks/soup kitchens and almost 200 community gardens! We have access, food, and a thriving community here.

About me!

I am an honors student at CUNY Lehman College, currently pursuing a bachelor’s in Social Work and a Minor in Creative Writing. I aim to become a Licensed Therapist, author, and entrepreneur. What propelled me to create this website was my Bronx Food Humanities class at Lehman with Professor Galvez, where we took a dive into the abundance and scarcity of food in the Bronx, as well as where and how our community leaders/organizations are making an impact through establishing accessible food resources.
